A Surprise birthday party

Last March 10th some of my good friends did a surprise birthday party. It was so nice of them. I must done something that is why they did this for me. It was a very nice party. It was my 1st birthday party since I got here in US.

Everyone brought foods. We have ton of foods. That was a ideal party for me that I did not worry kn what I will be cooking.

I maybe aware of this party but still I was surprise. I only expect few friends but a lot of friends came over.

For this 36th birthday this is one of the memorable birthday.

Don's Surprise Birthday Part

Last Saturday March 3rd we went to a 50th birthday party of a friend name Don. His girlfriend Liz set up this surprise party for him. Everyone brought their special dish.

With all the people around there were no enoigj food. There was a roast pig but it is still a baby. It was a good party. Everyone had fun. The celebrant had fun as well.

Anyone who had a party organized by loveones and closefriends are priceless. I know there is supposed to be a surprise birthday partu for me.:-). I'll tell you about that on my next post.

Bbgirl is more like a dauhgter to me.  She is my siter but because of the age gap and everytime she needs something she talk to me first.  I was the one paying for school especially for college.  I just want good for her she is my little sister.

For my birthday she made this video.  It brings back memory on how i look when I was a kid.  How skinny i was.  How I was i can go back to that look.  Only in my imagination right.

Liz and I been friend since leona was 18 months old. We have ups and down but we are still friends. We are more like a family now. We know everyone's secret. My kids treat her and her husband more like a second parents.

Happy Birthday To me

March 1st 1976 the month, day and year i was born. I was born on a leap year. Good thing I did not born on Februrary 29 if that the case I will be 9 years now then. I turned 36 today. I had fun. I stayed home did mot go to work. I spent the day hanging in the house. It was nice. For a change no kids even husband. Just mama and I.

I received greetings all iver the world. Imee and Mercy came over and stayed for supper. I had fun. We had home made chinese food for supper. I made ftied rice, lomein and all meat eggroll. The girls made me cake. Angel made a special birthday song while Leona made me a ring.

It os nice to know that there are a lot of people out there who lkve and care for you. Roger said I deserve it anyway i am a good person. Oh thank you hon.

36 today thank you God for another year.

birthday party @ Work

it was so nice of my coworkers did something for me for my birthday. because I already had a schedule time off on my birthday they did something yester February 29th. The did decorate my cube. Then now everyone who walked by my cube knew it was my birthday. Dottie gave me a gits a nice necklace. Dottie mad me a cake as well. Everyone enjoyed and loved the cake. So do I I love the good treat. It is nice to know a lot of people cared for you.

I must be a good person then. Thank to my PharMerica people.

Day trip to Asian Store

It has been a while since I went to Kam Man Store (an Asian store)  @ Quincy, Ma. Today the family went to Kam Man.  I received my advance birthday presents from Roger  Angel. Not to count we bought some good foods that we all love.






This lighted Angel is from my Angel.  It was so nice and thoughtful of her to buy me this.  She knows how much i love Angel.  She used to buy this with her own money. 

 

This is a maneko Neko iterally "Beckoning Cat"; also known as Welcoming Cat, Lucky Cat, Cat Swipe, Money cat, or Fortune Cat.  This is also one of my wants lists that my husband gave me.  This is one of my birthday gift.  It is not yet my birthday but feels like it is already.

This big wall fan decoration is a fan i had been wanting to have.  it has dragon which is my Chinese sign and this year is year of the dragon.  i do believe this is my year.  So far luck are keep coming.  Finally after a long wait of waiting her it is.  Thanks to my husband for giving this. 




By just going to the store together with the whole family was fun.  That is how we are.  Simple things makes everyone happy especially if the whole family in it.

Happy Birthday Sister Jess

 Almost 5 years ago I meet this wonderful person name Jessiette in friendster. Friendster is like facebook. We were keeping in touch until we decided to meet in person. It was 2007 4th of July when sister Liz and I finally meet sister Jess in person. Honestly my husband Roger did not know what to expect but according to him whatever makes me happy he will do anything. Unexpectedly everyone get along very well. Like we already know each other for a long time. The 1st meeting was a success and we did get together again and again. We did sleepover with each others house. Since then we treat each other as family. But sad at the end they moved to due Bernie's job. We do understand. We still keeping in-touch. Thanks to the technology. They stayed in Seattle, Washington for 2 year end moved after to Japan. I know they were so excited moving to Japan. Until an earthquake came and causing to had Tsunami and to activate the nuclear. That government official decided to evacuate a lot of families. Jess family was one to be evacuated but because Bernie is an official he stayed behind. Jess and the kids flew here in US. I do believed things happened for a reason. Because of the nuclear problem Jess and I meet again. They stayed with us for a week. It was great to have them. Everyday of that week was full of fun. Of course they have to go. Upon hearing that it is safe for the family to go back to Japan. Those happy times were over. I was just glad to spend those time with her and her kids.

Jess is a very good person. She is a honest person. If you did something bad? She will tell you right straight from the heart. Direct to point. She is so generous. She is the kind of person who did not expect anything in return. She is a very good adviser, a very good friend. Not to forget a very good wife to Bernie and to her kids. To her family first before anything/

anyone.

Leona's 9th Birthday

my oldest daughter Leona born today December 16th @ 0204AM.  She brings so much joy not only w/ Roger and i but thru the entire family.  Roger's family are so happy for us having a baby. 

She is our Christmas present sent from above.  We thank God for her everyday.  She makes our family complete.  She is a very good big sister to Angel.  We are so very proud of her.  She is doing great academically. 

I don't want to her to grow up to soon.  She will always be my baby.  I/we love her very much.

Leona's 1st 9th Birthday Bash

My oldest daughter leona will be turning 9th this December 16th.  Per her request we are having a party just only for her friends and classmates in school and we are going to party today. 

As activity they will be doing some crafts, do some line dance, and sing karaoke as well.  The party will last for 3 hours.  I will be having 14 kids.  My house will be full of kids.  And pretty sure we all be having fun especially my Leona. 

I made a cup cake w/ Big time rush for the topping design.  I will let them make their own sundae ice cream.  They will have pizza as well.

I just love to throw a party especially if it is for my love ones.

Birthday Party

Today my family and I went to my friend Jess’s son’s birthday party. We had a blast. We had all kind of Filipino food that you can think off. No reason that we will be hungry. Everyone bring his or her own foods. This is a nice party because everyone is bringing foods. The kids had fun being with each other.

Everyone in here are having fun. Getting to know each other. Our husbands get along well. As you can see look who is busy eating is food. My very own husband. Shhh well not going to tell him that he have this stolen shot.

Wives, women of the house are busy taking pictures of themselves. Feeling like calendar women or miss universe. Paparazzi are very good to us they love to take our pictures.

Papparazzi thought they are the only one can take a picture. They did not know that their is a secret paparazzi as well. Surprise. They are busy taking pictures for us at the same time somebody is watching them incase they are up to no good. Right?


Time to open the present. The celebrant can't wait he was begging for mom Jess to open the present. As you can see mom Jess is busy helping him. While kids around were eager to see what will be the next toy they can open and to play with. All what Jonathan received were spider toys. That is how much everybody knew how much he loves spider man.

The lovebirds and family are posing as a whole. We are like a big happy family. This pictures taken after we had food. Everybody were trying to cover their belly. But we till all looks beautiful. But wait a minute where is my daughter Leona, hardy can see her. Bernadette was busy trying to the peace sign on top of her brothers head.

This is Bernadette she is concentrating looking at the crayons what color are in here. She is not suppose to open it. But we let her this time. Just between us okay.


I thought it is only me is the trying to be a model in my family. I gues I was wrong here is Angel posing for herself. She loves to pose in front of camera. Like mommy like daughter.

Time for us to go but wait a minute I have to packed some food. I know I already ate food but need to bring some food home hoping that nobody will noticed me. Oops I was wrong paparazzi still in the house. So what I did take a pose for him... I looked fat in here. Need to go on diet I guess. Good bye everyone.

Thank you God

I thank God for today. 32 years ago my mother was in labor, having a tough time. I was born March 1st at 2:40PM Philippines time. Base on the story they told me it was not really easy for her. She only has a home labor with a quack doctor. I am not sure it is the right term I should use. But it is common in Philippines before not much now because there is now a lot of midwifery but still they gave birth right at their home. They almost brought her to the doctor because she lost a lot of blood. Good thing one of her friend whom her ex-boyfriend is a doctor so he was there to help my mother giving birth. I am sure my father feeling awkward at that point but for his family’s sake. It did not matter anymore. Luckily here and thanks God here I am growing old I could say but young at heart.

Today my kids did a surprise for me they cut a heart shape and color it by themselves. You know what it is the thought that count. They were trying to keep it as a secret as their surprise for me. They bought me cake; Roger bought me a plant not cut flowers a plant because he knows I prefer a plant. I guess this is it time for me to go to bed so tired everybody now in bed of course except me again.

A birthday greetings from friends

Today I feel a lot of people like and love me. I received greetings not only from my family but also from all or most of my friends. Even never meet most of them but I feel their heartfelt greetings. For all my friendster friends who left me comments thank you very much. I even received phone calls not counting from my family in Philippines. To some of my co-bloggers who greet me as well thank you. Am I been love or what. I know night is not over yet my family already got something prepared for me I will tell you later what it is.

Birthday Call From my Family In Philippines

Saturdays’ the day I usually sleep till I am done. But today it was not happening I got a phone call 5 O’clock early morning. I knew who called me that early, from my beloved family in the Philippines. They called me to great a happy birthday. It was nice but I want my beauty sleep. I decide to chat with them for it was been a while we never chatted. So busy with my blogging. Am I bad or what? You know what trying to make money in here. So far it is a good birthday. Did chat with my whole family, they have simple celebration. With cake and ice cream and a roast chicken.

It's My Birthday

It was nice of my co-worker to blow a simple birthday celebration for me. They have a chocolate and yellow cake for me. We ended having it as breakfast of course it was Friday which we usually do bad breakfast but for us it is good. Anyway no kids are around we are all adult. They have card and everybody sign their greetings. A bag of gift with lotion, body spray mist, a lip-gloss and jellybeans. I was touch with all efforts they did. No work place I had been to that did this to me.

It’s My Birthday Soon

Couple days from now will be my birthday. I will be a year older than my age now. I will longer be seeing my age on the calendar. I still feeling young. Age is only number anyway, deep in my heart and mind I am still young. On my birthday I am not demanding anything. As I always tell my family if you want to get me anything for my birthday I rather want clothes from Target and Kohls and shoes. Especially that I am working 5 days a week with a casual attire I always needed clothes. I love shoes as my husband said I am Imelda Marcus in his life. I gave a lot of ideas on what they can give me. When it come for flowers? I love flowers but don’t get me wrong if they will give me one, I been telling them not the cut flowers I prefer a plants that I can take care of. Cut flowers won’t last longer than a plant. Especially that spring is coming I love to have hanging plants in my house and plants some bulbs in my yard. I teased my husband that if he will give me a present I want a plane ticket to see and visit my family in the Philippines. If we will get our tax refund soon maybe he can buy me a laptop. I will cross my finger on that. My two girls are in to playing computer we have 2 computers at home but having my girls around who love to be on the computer, if you will let them they will play 7 days a week 24 hours a day.

Actually I don’t want anything for my birthday but if they will give me anything I will be happy. A family dinner and an ice cream cake for me are already enough.

Angel's 4th Birthday Party

Today Sunday February 17th, is the 4th and one of the 1st birthday party for my daughter Angel. The theme was Dora the explorer. I sent a Dora the explorer as the invitation. Today was for her friends. The party started around 3PM. We had snacks. We played games.

First games was Bingo. I had a picture board bingo card and a bingo markers for each of the kids. I was the caller I had some picture I selected one at a time. EVERY bingo card has EVERY picture. Therefore as a picture is called EVERY player must find it and cover it with a bingo marker. The first palyer to cover 4 ictures in a row and say BINGO wins. In here we had 4 winner it should be only one but they were only kids so I let the 4 wins. Each got a price.

Next game was a statue dance. We played music once it stops they have to stop as well. Whoever moves will be out of the game until only one left. Of course we played the music that I got It From My Momma, Angel loves this song. I don't know she did not get the body from me it is from her daddy, can you see the different? This game the winner is Akshita.

The next game was popping the balloon. This time I did let everyone pick a balloon with different color from the others, never mind if they are the same with the birtyday celebrant. They did not know that the criteria was who ever pick the same color as the celebrant is the winner. What a tricky ha. They thought there is a price inside the balloon.



To calm them down we played charade. Pick a picture of an animal ant act them out. They love this part. Except till to that point that Angel want to do it but instead of acting it out. What she did she announce to everyone what the picture is all about.

Time for the cake. I make cupcakes for kids a cake for the celebrant to blow. I let them decorate their own cake. Put their own frost and sprinkles. Once everybody were done we sing happy birthday and time to eat cake and ice cream.

We played Pin the tail on a donkey as the last game. Angel got it right. We though she can see that is why she always put the tail on the right spot. So she won.

Last but not the list time to open the presents. She can't wait to open them. She did a good job. She love all what she received.

OHHHH what a tiring day but you know what for my daughter its woth it. Another one for next week. Wish me luck. This time is for the family. I will be busy preparing for the food.

My Angel's Big Day

4 years ago I was at the hospital giving birth to my 2nd child Angelina. She was born February 12 at 8:13 AM. I had a C-section. I had an emergency C-section with my oldest so this time I decided to have another one. Much better I was prepared and relaxed.

My husband and I went to hospital it was Thursday February 12th around 6:00AM. The process started right away as soon I got at the hospital. Brought me to delivery room exactly 8:13 our little Angel was born. She was not happy, though as her father hold her she knew him right away. Roger was singing to her “My Angel baby, Ohhh”. He only made up that song but the way he sung it was meaningful. Roger is a great Dad.

On that day a lot of people came to visit. Brought some flowers for me and presents for Angel. We stayed at the hospital for 3 days supposed to be for C-section should stay 4 days but to me I was bored to stay at the hospital. So the doctor gave me a permission to leave as long as I am well enough. It was hard for Roger, he want to spend time with Angel and me at the hospital but at the same time with Leona. We spent our Valentines at the hospital.

At that point Roger already start calling the kids “my monkey” look at Angel, she is like a monkey. She is always into trouble. She is our boy. She is growing too beautiful. An adorable, she is our love bug. As her birthday today, on behalf of my family and my self, we are so grateful to our God Almighty for giving Angel into our life. We Love her so much.

As to celebrate we are going to have a cake for her to blow. And a couple party I prepared for her this coming Sunday February 17th for all her friends and another on a following week February 24th for the family.
