Things To Do In New Orleans

Have you been to New Orleans? Did you know that there are so many things you can do while you are there. It is not only that people come here for Mardi gras festival but there are some more things that you should consider to visit while in there.

1. BOURBON STREET = “Laissez les bons temps rouler” (let the good times roll). This is the best party you can think off and best party in the planet as people who visit this place are saying. Even it is not Mardi gras this place still have full of energy party are keep on going.

2. JACKSON SQUARE = you can go on a tour riding on decorated carriages and equally festooned donkeys. While you are on the tour the driver will tell you all the history about the area. You can really tell how proud they are for all the accomplishments.

3. THE GARDEN DISTRICT = here you will able to see mansion with nice and beautiful flowerbeds.

4. ROYAL/MAGAZINE STREETS = if you love art galleries, estate jewelry and fine antiques this is the place for you.

5. MADAM LAMOOSE & HER PSYCHIC POWERS = if you love to know your future what lucks comes ahead then visit this place too. If you are not a fun of Tarot, crystal gazing, throwing bones, analyzing auras and reading palms how about still plan to part with at least $20 for a full reading.

6. PRESERVATION HALL = It’s standing room only and rather Spartan but well worth the visit if you want to see one of the places where jazz had its roots. Don’t worry if you can’t get in, though; the music is loud enough every night that a lot of it will spill into the streets and keep you entertained.

7. THE HISTORIC VOODOO MUSEUM = See how they work their magic in a museum dedicated to voodoo dolls, juju bags, love potions and magical powders.

8. ESPLANADE AVENUE = Italianate and Greek Revival mansions are right around the corner from cheesy storefronts selling overpowering perfumes and neon dildos. This dividing line lane between Faubourg Marigny and the French Quarter is intriguing places to people watch as well as to pick up an occasional bargain in antiques. You can also see the house where painter Edgar Degas did a bit of painting while visiting some of his relatives. Looking for a charming bed and breakfast inn? Esplanade Avenue is highly recommended as the first place you should look; many of them not only cater to families but also welcome family pets.

9. CAFÉ DU MONDE = One of the things that New Orleans is famous for are the square, powdered sugar doughnuts called “beignets”. This café precursor to Starbucks dates back to the 1860’s and is the perfect spot for an evening cup of chicory coffee and relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Just one cautionary note: don’t wear black. Beignets are melt-in-your-mouth delicious but messy and have a way of leaving their evidence all over one’s clothing.

10. COURT OF THE TWO SISTERS = A longstanding N’awlins institution, this restaurant is as famous for its leisurely Sunday champagne brunches as it is for the caliber of Dixieland, blues, and jazz musical talent it rotates through its main dining room and outdoor courtyard during the course of one meal. Don’t plan to get out in less than three hours. Afterwards, schedule a nap. You will definitely need it.

In all of this places you going to visit in New Orleans make it sure you are not going to forget to have a car. You can rent a car in new orleans. This way it is convenient for you to visit different places.

Angelo Rayos

Angelo Rayos is my grandfather on my mother's side. He is 90 years old and still kicking. Base on what my family saying my Lolo is still doing great despite of he is already old. He was staying with my family for a while because being with them, he is really well taken care of. It is not that in my uncle's house he is not. It just that the lifestyle is different. But now my Lolo is back to them. My uncle live in Jasaan Misamis Oriental. The reason why Lolo has to go home because he is worried that if something happen to him he died in Bukidnon his other kids will not be able to see his body and as his request he wants to be buried on top of my grandmother's tomb.

My memory of my grandparents were they were a very good grand parents. When I was a little girl they used to play with me and with my cousin. We love to play pretend house to house. Lolo used to build us our home using a coconut leaves. While Lola had to help us cooked our food in a small toy pot. We used to go to the river and go swimming. Lola's specialty was to chew a coconut and put it on our hair to have a good looking hair I guess. At that time I didn't care I was loving every moment spending time with them. Also one thing on them every 6pm at night they make it sure we were in the house to pray the holy rosary. As a kid we don't like it, that is why sometime we got a pinch from Lola somewhere our legs and men that was hurt.

My grandparents are not rich they don't have money but they have full of love that they gave to us. I miss them so much. I know wherever my lola now she is happy and keep on waiting when Lolo will follow her. Lolo until now he is still funny. When you listen to him talking about his past you can't believe he was once used to have a lot of girls. He even mention that Mama my mom have another sister that they don't know. Lolo keep it in secret. No one know about it until now.

So much on this I the more I am trying to recall how great grandmother and grandfather they are it makes me want to cry. I hope I can be like them once I will be a grand mother. But for now I have to try to be a good mother because honestly I think I am not.

Horse Race

Awaiting the start
Is horse racing is one of your hubby or do you love to watch horse racing? Honestly I never have been to a horse racing. I saw a movie about horse race the SEABISCUIT. This movie is really good. You can’t really judge anything by just the way it looks. Seabiscuit was not a perfect horse he was undersized, knobby-kneed, and not much to look at, and was given to sleeping and eating for long periods. Look at all the achievement he has. Seabiscuit raced thirty-five times. Coming in first five times, and finishing second seven times.

As a horse racer they have to find somebody that can train their horse very well. Like if you visit http://www.euroxciser.com they can help you train your horse the way it should be. They are well known when it comes to horse exerciser and horse walker. They have a lot of horse walkers that you can even pick which one you want.

Horse racing is a neat hubby I don’t mind to see even just once in my life. How about you have been to a derby where horse racing from each other. I bet you this is morely happening somewhere South. Never know one of this day I will, not going
