My baby is now a lady

Growing up I always wanted to have someone I can share the same interest with.  Sharing clothes...talking about boys but that did not come true.  Yeah I have a younger sister but we are 11 years old apart.  By the time she's old enough I already moved out from my parents.  I got married and live too far away from her.  We only have the technology that keeping us to share some things but not all I ever dreamt of.  Thank God I am bless with 2 beautiful girls.

Having 2 girls is so exciting for me.  I know with them I can experience what I am missing  with my little sister.  It will come to the point I know they will be going on their own ways but I just hope we have a good mother and daughter relationship when that time comes.

As of today April 30th,2014 Leona officialy has her monthly visitor.  She had "Hoops for Heart" and when she came home went to the bathroom and called out for my help.  Right then I knew what it was all about.  I was so proud of her she handle it very well.  I guess it all started when she was at school.  She never panic.   She kept the school activity as there was nothing happened.

As Leona now officially a young lady, I have to be more protective on her.  I will not only be her mother I will be also her friend.  I hope she keep open to me, open on everything even about boys.

With all this said I am a happy mom having 2 beautiful girls. Looking forward to our family adventure.  Up and down we are always with each other.

Moving Again

Once again my family and i are moving to a new house.  I hate moving.  Right now i only have couple more days to finish packing but i don't know where to start.  I want to get rid some of my stuff.  But behind my mind someone is saying what if I need them?  So I guess keep them.


Whaaaa here I am getting paranoid while my family are downstairs relaxing watching TV.  Its good for them.  Wait until  I blow up.  They will hear some nasty words from me.  And pretty sure they won't like it.

Wedding Day

The girls are looking forward to Sara's wedding.  Sara is Rogers cousins daughter.  Sara is also Leona's godmother. Sara is getting married to Jeremy.  They have been together for over 7 years I think.  Leona will be the juniors bridesmaid and Angel the flower girl.  This is the first time that the girls will be part of the wedding ceremony.  They already have their clothes. Now i just have to get them their shoes.  I found out it is hard to find a navy blue shoes.  Now that I need to buy them one you think i can find them anywhere>  i was wrong.  Right now i don't care with the price I just need to buy one as soon as possible. 

The wedding is on June 16th.  We just received their informal invitation with the couples picture. I also received the bridal shower invitations and that will be on April 22.  Now I have another one to worry about.  I need to get them a nice gift.  Denise Sara's mother are been so good to us.  As payback I want to get a nice gift for the bridal shower.  This is the 2nd time that the girls will be in a bridal shower.  I just love to do things together with my girls.  With all this activities this will bring us more closer.

On June 16th it will be an exciting day for all of us.  Not just he girls will be part of the wedding but Sara and Jeremy will be finally married.  We wish them both happiness.  This is nice for Roger, the girls and I to have a family bonding time.  Mama will not be going this time. 

Hoping this day will be nice sunny day not to hot.  It is a garden wedding. 

A Surprise birthday party

Last March 10th some of my good friends did a surprise birthday party. It was so nice of them. I must done something that is why they did this for me. It was a very nice party. It was my 1st birthday party since I got here in US.

Everyone brought foods. We have ton of foods. That was a ideal party for me that I did not worry kn what I will be cooking.

I maybe aware of this party but still I was surprise. I only expect few friends but a lot of friends came over.

For this 36th birthday this is one of the memorable birthday.

Kids Bucket List

Both my daugthers Leona and Angel gave us a list of what they want to do amd place they want to go. We listed them as their bucket list. Husband and I keep telling the girls that we don't have much money but we always do simething for them. Every summer we alwaus go somewhere fun for the whole family. We want to make it sure we build enoigh good memory on our girls. That when they get old they will remember that mom and dad always do something fun for the family.

Going to Disney world is one of the place they want to go. Anyway Roger and I are talking that maybe we will be going to Orlando Florida. In Orlando Florida there are a lot things to do. Like going to the beach and of course the disney world. It might cost a lot of money but we know for sure the girls face will be priceless.

If we are going to Florida Roger already did a little bit research. We will be staying in one of the Orlando hotels. Rogers Aunt and Uncle own a time square we are hoping we can used their share. These should help us save a lot. Anywhere were we are going ti stay we make it sure it feels like home. Because more or less we will be staying at least a week.

Now we have this solid plan. Roger and I need to work harder to be anle to the big family vacation that my girls love to go. This will be deleted from their bucket list.

Day trip to Asian Store

It has been a while since I went to Kam Man Store (an Asian store)  @ Quincy, Ma. Today the family went to Kam Man.  I received my advance birthday presents from Roger  Angel. Not to count we bought some good foods that we all love.






This lighted Angel is from my Angel.  It was so nice and thoughtful of her to buy me this.  She knows how much i love Angel.  She used to buy this with her own money. 

 

This is a maneko Neko iterally "Beckoning Cat"; also known as Welcoming Cat, Lucky Cat, Cat Swipe, Money cat, or Fortune Cat.  This is also one of my wants lists that my husband gave me.  This is one of my birthday gift.  It is not yet my birthday but feels like it is already.

This big wall fan decoration is a fan i had been wanting to have.  it has dragon which is my Chinese sign and this year is year of the dragon.  i do believe this is my year.  So far luck are keep coming.  Finally after a long wait of waiting her it is.  Thanks to my husband for giving this. 




By just going to the store together with the whole family was fun.  That is how we are.  Simple things makes everyone happy especially if the whole family in it.

Family day

Saturday movie day was not in our plan for the weekend. But Yna text me Saturday afternoon if I am interested to watch Journey 2 Mysterious Island. She had a 5 free tickets with pop corn and soda. So why not right? I may already have plan for the weekend but for a free movie and everyone in the family can go for free. The theater is in Warwick Rhode Island we did go.

Thanks to Yna. The family had fun. We went to have dinner with Cindy, her mom and the kids.

Saying Good Bye

It is hard to say good bye to someone even they are not close to our heart how much more on someone you love especially saying good bye as you are aware that you will not able to see this person anymore.  Last Thursday February 9th, 2012 Dave Denise's husband passed away.  Denise is Rogers' cousin whom so very good to my family.  Since Roger and I get married they become part of our lives. 

Dave used to do caterings in fact when Roger and I got married in church 11 years ago he did our food.  we did not pay a single penny.  That was a very big help on Rogers/ pocket.  Not just that every event like our kids christening we held both in their house.  This is how good this family to my family. 

Dave was battling brain cancer for at least six months.  He was fighting to be alive but it his Gods call for him to go home to where he came from.  it was hard but it is better for him and for everyone.  He will no longer in pain.  The people like his wife Denise and kids will keep all the good memories he left.  He was a good man. 

The wake was last February 13th and the mass was February 14th.  the kids went with us.  It was a little bit hard on my kids as they remember him.  They used to teased my girls.  Overall they did well. 

Is it really time to say good bye or we just say see you later.  Either way we know Dave is now in Good hand.  His goodness will be kept in our heart forever.  To Dave thank you for everything you did to my family. Rest in Peace Dave.

Life is Too Short

We owe our life from God.  He can take this away from us anytime he wants. While we’re still alive, live life to the fullest.  Life is too short. 
 
Sometimes last year June 2011 Dave Denise’s’ husband had been diagnosed with brain cancer.  Everyone was surprised especially that we all thought he is healthy at least trying to be healthy.  His loss some weight because at least year before that he had by pass surgery because his artery was clogged.  Since he was diagnosed with brain cancer he starts deteriorating.  He lost some weight.  He is not taking his treatment well.  He was doing okay on the radiation part but once he start taking the chemo that’s it for him.  No improvement.  His body is not improving instead he was getting weaker and weaker. December we found out that Dave doctor told the family that he only has at least 3 to 6 months to live.  Now its February he is not eating anymore.  He wanted to go home.  As this maybe his last will the family agreed to send him home.  So looks like anytime now our phone will ring with a bad message.  It’s hard to let him go but for everyone’s sake the sooner the better.
 
This just tells me that life is too short.  We don’t know how long we live.  Don’t take everyone for granted.
 

Extra Curricular

Leona is loving the cabaret class. They are going to perform on their last day March 6th. Leona will deliver a sing by Selena Gomez. With Leona's excitement on having out of school activities made us realize we should enroll the girls on extra curricular activities. We already know they love to do karate, gymnastics. Leona love to do a singing lesson, guitar and even dance. Angel she is more interested on sports. Roger is thinking maybe we will put the girls to horse riding lesson. They lived riding on a horse. Every year our church have a yearly festival. One activity they have is horse ride. This is what the girls are looking forward every festival.

Talking about horse backriding lesson; Roger know someone who can hive a lesson to the girls. I just hope it won't cost too much as you I have to enroll not just one of my kids bit to be fair I have to enroll both of them. Having kids especially girls are a little bit expensive as you everyone are aware of girls like to be in fashion. So if they are both in horse backriding lesson I may need to have a lesson myself not on how to ride but I have to something more about horse riding I think a link like Manhattan saddlery review will able to clue me in what I need to be aware of simple thing as like equestrian apparell.

Actually right we did not decide yet about activities our girls to be with. We are waiting until Angelinas CCD class will be over then we will think what they really want to do.

I Am In An Interracial Relationship

Interracial is used in reference to the mixing of people of different racial groups. If we say interracial relationship it is a relationship between two people of different races.

Interracial is a great opportunity to learn about another culture and have new experiences. Encourage your partner to share his/her culture with you and vice versa. Remaining open to new experiences will improve your chances of success.

It is very important to remain respectful at all times. Many people are sensitive about their cultures because it is an important part of who they are. Don't force your partner to try something or be critical when he or she wants you to try something new. This is one good thing between roger and I we are both respect each others culture and we introduce this to our girls.

Also remember that all cultures are different. You may not always understand something your partner says or does. Instead of responding with judgment, appreciate this uniqueness. Remember, one of the benefits of interracial relationships is this exposure to new perspectives. Once in a while i have a problem of communicating with my family because of my accent. Now that the girls are in school they start correcting my accent. I tried to correct it but its very hard.

There is this situation at work that until now still an issue for other people. I don't know why but people at work make it a big deal. When they found out that this person when she just started working with us she saw some pictures of Roger and I at his computer she made a comment like it is nice that Roger is in an interracial relationship. She added more to that comment that made other people offensive. especially to other people whom they have relationship with different race. Actually to me so what she made that comment. I do appreciate for people who have sympathy for us. At least I know they did not think any negative about me or Roger about our relationship.

I am proud to say "I Am In An Interracial Relationship". Roger and I are happy to be with each other. We are blessed with two beautiful girls. That's what its matter. We don't care what other people think.

Busy day for kids

Today was a full Saturday a busy day for the girls. Aside from snowing for most of the day. Angel had her 1st confession at 10AM to 12PM. Ryan their 1st cousins 12th birthday party. That held at Norrh Bowl; bowling alley right next door. They were ther from 12:30pm got home not until almost 4pm. They had stayed home for a while. They actually went outside play in the snow for a while untilthay can't handle the cold anymore. At 6:30pm they went to a father and daughter dance. By the time the dAnce was over they both so tired. We'll see how they do in the morning. We need to. Get up for church and for Angel to go to her CCD class.

Busy day but uet they were having fun. I know for sure I will be hearing a lot from Roger how tired he is. He is such a winy. :-)

Angel's 1st Confession

January 21st,2012 Angel had her 1st confession. One of the preparation for her to get herself ready for taking the holy Eucharist " 1st communion". She did very well. She made a list that only her and Fr. Bill the priest and god knew about her sin. As her request she had her 1st confession with Fr Bill.

To my Angel congratulations on your 1st confession.

Father and Daughters Dance

Roger and the girls went for a father and daughters dance.  The girls are so excited.  Every year they always looking forward for this school events.  This is the night where just Roger and the girls will be having fun. 

It will be all the girls floor tonight.  The dance floor is theirs.  They will be a slow dance and that will the time they will dance with their daddy.  For some fathers who have more than one girls is quite interesting to see.  Some girls wants just to dance with their dad alone.  For my kids hope they will take turn who will have the slow dance with their dad.  I am sure they will have fun.

For Leona this will be here 2nd to the last school year to have a father and daughter dance.  We'll see what they have at middle school.  Angel she is looking forward to go to father and daughter dance alone.  As she said it is nice to be the youngest.  :-)

Summer Family plan

Having snow in the ground mad me realize how much I love summer.  So many things you can do fun thing with the family and even do something around the house.  Every summer you always want something different.  For this summer 2012 I am thinking to have at least couple benches outside the house like Portable Bleachers. 

My one thing we love to the for past time at summer time is to hang out at the par.  Let the girls play for a while at the playground while mommy's or daddy's sitting around watch them while they're having fun. That is why how import it is to have some picnic tables even just a simple one like Aluminum Bleachers.  This could help some people like us who loves to have picnic at the park.

The only negative if you like to do picnic at the park is there are people loves to bring their dog.  They do bring their dog for a walk and if the do poop they just leave their pets waste right there.  It would also be nice for park to have an area for pets to play with, dog exercise equipment, or even a simple pet stations.   I know It costs money but it will benefit a lot of people. 


This is why i hate winter.  At winter you have to dress up in bundle to keep yourself warm.  And not to forget we will have a bunch of clothes to wash afterwards.  right now i am looking forward for summer to come.  My husband and i already have couple ideas on what we are going to do at summer. 

Wrist corsage

Tomorrow night the girls are going to a father and daughter dance. Leona and Angel are so excited. Dress all set up. They already picked what shoes they will wear. Both my girls requested for a corsage. 1st thing pop in my mind What? Corsage? You know how much this will cost? Now you guys really are asking me to spend money. I don't want have money for that. As Leona responded "typical mom". I was so shock dunno how to react when she said that. According to Roger if I can only see my face on how I did react when Leona said that. As Roger said the reason she said that because I always told them I don't have MONEY.

But anyway. I will try to make a corsage by myself. I only need to buy fresh flowers. We'll see from then. Wish me luck.

Christmas 2011

It was a different Christmas for me and my family. We know we should enjoy the day as we celebrate the birth or Jesus Christ. But there are things that some people don't think that what they do will affect everyone.

On Christmas eve we had some company. Good thing we have people who came over. My mothers Christmas was not totally ruin. My father was upset that my mom gave money to her brothers. According to my dad why giving them money instead helping him on his problem. What problem? 15K I guess not enough for him anymore. The thing made me disappoint at my dad was instead wishing his wife my mom a merry Christmas he just consulted her how not happy he was. This made my mom cried the whole time. Thank God at least in short time we made her smile.

Everyone left after 1AM so Roger and I waiting for the girls to full asleep inorder for is to put the Christmas gift under the tree.

About 3AM I received a message from Philippines that they can't hold of my mom; that my dad was at the hospital. He committed suicide. I did not know what o should feel then. I was scared but I was more mad disappointed on him. WHY ... Why he did this? Is he that miserable that he commit suicide? Did he ever think that it is Christmas? He even dd not think that what he did affects us. I am disappointed kn him because here is this person who is healthy and did not appreciate the
life that God gave him. Instead he wanted to end his life by doing such this. While we know people around us who have cancer and they are fighting to be alive. I love my dad but I think he needs to grow up. Hope he will appreciate this 2nd chance that God gave him. We never ever neglected him. My mom gave almost all money she have to him but all of this not enough.

Anyway it wAs Christmas but it did not feel like it is because what my dad did. At least my girls were very happy what sant brought them. As well as my mom until she found out what happened.

We we to Denise's to spend time with the family for a short time.

Every year our Christmas 2011 experience will not be forgotten. It will always one of the topic from now on. To my dad wish he will realize what he did was not right. The life we have is not ours to destroy. We have to keep it; it is a treasure that God gave to each one of us.

Nursing Board Exam

My sister graduated from nursing last March.  Finally she took her nursing board exam last December 18th and 19th.  we are thinking positive that she will pass.  We will get the result in two months.  It amazed me that even with the flash flood the board exam still go on. They did not cancel the exam.

Dress shopping

The girls cousin Sara who also Leonas Godmother are going to get we'd on June 16th 2012. The girls will be part of the wedding. Leona will be the junior bridesmaid and Angel the flower girl.

Yesterday December 11th we did dress shopping. That was fun. They tried several dress. And all agreed to 1 best dress. Both the looks gorgeous. During fitting all the dress they must be feel like a princess. Leona lookslike a young lady now. What happen my baby is growing fast. While Angel getting bigger she getting more cute. Both my girls are.

Sara, Noel, Jeremy's cousin and Denise were with us. Now we ordered the dress the girls are getting more excited. So are everybody.
