Don's Surprise Birthday Part

Last Saturday March 3rd we went to a 50th birthday party of a friend name Don. His girlfriend Liz set up this surprise party for him. Everyone brought their special dish.

With all the people around there were no enoigj food. There was a roast pig but it is still a baby. It was a good party. Everyone had fun. The celebrant had fun as well.

Anyone who had a party organized by loveones and closefriends are priceless. I know there is supposed to be a surprise birthday partu for me.:-). I'll tell you about that on my next post.

Plan for the Weekend

This will be another busy weekend for Roger and I; as usual party, grocery and some
extra things to do on the side.

• Roger will be bringing Angelina to her CCD class.
• Pick up couple things I needed for the party like the utensils and drinks.
• Saturday January 29th; we will be having a birthday party for my friend in my house.
• I will be having at least 20 people, another full house. One thing I like on this party, not only it is in my place, I will not be doing a lot of cooking. I will cook couple dishes and that’s it.
• Sunday will be church in the morning and maybe we will be going to a kid’s birthday party. We’ll see if I can sweet talk to my husband; which always no problem. It all depends on me.

This will be more likely what will happen on my weekend.

Feeling Unwelcome

Last Saturday my family was invited to a kid’s birthday party. The mother is a Filipino I met her on friendster, but not yet been introduced with each other personally. The party starts at 12pm to 3 pm. We got there just right on time. Not much people yet. The host was somewhere busy preparing for herself and the husband was right there I introduced my family to him first. We were standing up for at least 10 minutes and without any invitation we set on the couch for another 15 minutes that was awkward. There was couple Filipino but not even one introduced them. Until somebody I know came and I have somebody to talk to and especially when Jessiettes’ family arrives the more I was happy now finally I have a friend and Roger have someone to talked to. I felt bad about him. I never felt that way before especially on meeting new friends for the first time. Especially my kids they usually no problem on meeting new friends but them they stayed with us until Bernadette came.

At least until the host was out busy entertaining everybody she was nice very nice and her husband as well. But the other visitors they had we felt not welcome. You can tell the way they look at you like you who are. I know they already have this special click with each other and as the newbie to the group at least one of them should introduced themselves and make us feel welcome. I met a couple of them they are nice the rest I am not sure. I did have a conversation with others but more on an American mother who have 2 young kids. Can’t remember her name she was nice.

Overall the party was okay. The kids were having fun afterwards. They have a lot of games and did some crafts. It was a gorgeous day. Foods were great. A lot of Filipino foods, I love most the dinuguan and the turon, uhmmm yummy.

Thanks God It's Saturday

Good morning people, here I am Saturday morning I woke early what's up with this I should supposed still be in bed but right now I am so wide awake. I woke up 6am, others might say it is not early but to me it is, this is the time I woke everyday of the week and should be except for weekend but does is not the case. My body is used to my routine I guess. Everybody in the house are still sleeping beauty. I try to chat with my family in Philippines but was not successful probably they already in bed. I will try again tonight.

Today we have a girls 6th birthday party to attend. The theme for this party is Hollywood. My kids are very excited, they can wear their bling blings.

Right now I have to start cleaning the house and maybe prepare a breakfast for them. But first thing first my COFFEE. I need to wrap the present too.
