Baby Sitting

Why it is cost so much to let other baby sit your kids while your at work.  I been through to this.  Before my mom came in US to live with us.  I have other people to watch my kids while I was at work.  I was just so lucky that I have a very good neighbor that willing to watch my kids for not much under the table. We were paying her $300/wk for 2 kids.  That was a big help for us.  If I had to bring them to day care it will cost us more. 

Now i have here a friend who have a 1 year old daughter.  My mom is watching her daughter from 6AM to 6PM for $100 a week.  When my mom ask her to increase the fee to $150.  She trying to scare my poor mom that she will claim the fees during tax time.  It was not fair.  you think $150 a week to watch a 1 year old is too much?  Try bringing your kid to a real day care you will see how much it will cost.  Not counting how they will take good care of your kid. 

I felt bad about my mom.  I think she been abused.  By the way now they both agreed to pay her $125 a week and not to file a claim at tax time.  But between my husband and i we are not hapy with whats going on.

what is Sex?

At a curious mind my 8 years old daughter asked us What is sex ? She been hearing this word from TV shows, and on some music they been listening to. This is the 1st time she asked us this. As parents we did not know what to say. She kinda answer her own question which she is referring to gender(male & female). It is now a question brought to our attention at to what age we have to discuss this thing to her. She is a very smart girl. I don't want her to find this things from her friends. I know it will become one lesson she will learn in school. Is this a topic that she prefer to hear from me or from her dad or maybe from both. When this time come I hope we can explain it to her with a sense that she will understand.

Being a parent is not easy. You can't predict what question(s) that your kids will asks. Kids now are very smart in their own way.

Day with The family

I can't remember when was the last time I spend time with just my family alone. For almost 2 years there is always something going on. Our weekend always booked. Working Monday through Friday sometimes working overtime, coming in early and living late. My husband keep complaining but as he always said whatever make me happy he will do it.

Today 3 day weekend because tomorrow is 4th of July. I did not do any commitment to any parties but to spend time with just my family. We went to Colt State park. An open field near the ocean. A lot of people go there. Places where do people go fishing, have their parties ore even a wedding. Very nice place.

We went to the park brought some foods with us. Let the girls fly their kites. Went to the dock see people fishing, see if they have any luck. Walk along the sea shore. Wow it was amazing spending a day without rushing ourselves. I love it.

This makes me realize even how much time i spent with my family I still need to spend more time with just them. Don't get me wrong i love my friends but my family will come first.

I'm Back

It's Friday July 2nd 2010, setting in front of my computer thinking of doing something until it came up my mind that it has been a while I'm not doing any blog. Even visiting my blog. Having family, kids plus working full time really miss up our mind. I don't consider myself busy maybe a little bit but not as much as how busy other peoples are. Anyway, just thinking of posting something just to update this blog. This may not be interesting right now but once my kids grow up and read all what i posted here about our family, make them realized what we been through. Fun time we did as a family. I may no money but keep trying to do something for the kids.

Just an update, my kids are now both full time in school. Leona my oldest will be in 3rd grade and Angel the younger one will be in 1st grade. My girls are growing so fast. They are both smart kids in their own way. I am still working in a pharmacy same as my hubby. We are thankful and so blessed to have jobs. With this economy we have to e glad, a lot of people lost their jobs. My mom still living with us. We are still sending my younger sister to college. this will be her last year hopefully 2011 she will graduate and we can't wait for it. A little bit extra for our pockets.

I make more friends. Party here and there, as my co-workers calls me I am a party girl. Hey what i can do i have many friends.

We'll i can't really promise anything but try to post something from here and there.

Easter holiday is a celebration of the resurrection of Christ!
Jesus Christ, The Son of God bled and died for us in a sacrifice.

This spring day's celebrated, generally in the month of April.
All of the bright and pretty colors, of the Easter outfits with frill.

Women and children will wear their Easter bonnets.
In the spring, you'll hear the various musical sonnets.

April will bring many rain showers.
That'll bring us various beautiful flowers.

One special flower for this day is the Easter lily.
Its color is white, and yet snowy & milky.

The birds will sing their songs of praise.
As we begin to feel the warmth of the sun's rays.

As we say "Goodbye" to the winter's gloom,
The flowers and trees have already begun to bloom.

All of life's beauty, The Lord created, for us all to share.
Spring breezes begin to flow, sending fragrances through the air.

The winter's thawing will let the rivers, lakes, and streams rise and flow.
The beauty of the Earth will make us all feel aglow!

Farmers and gardeners will start to hoe.
And then they'll begin to sow.

On Sundays, we'll hear the various church bells ring.
Let's be grateful for the LORD, let's rejoice and sing.

If it wasn't for the Lord, we wouldn't have anything!
