Team Story 2011

My husband Roger had their departments party the other day December 21st. Before the party started his boss Paula Villanova read this to them. It was so cute the way she did this. So just a thought to share this to everyone.

It's been an unusual year for Team Paula....as we said goodbye to 2010, we looked at 2011 as a year of uncertainty and we prepared to move on....but oh what a year....We began training in April and welcomed new associates to our team and we learned new tasks in accounts receivable for all of our pharmacies near and far....

With millions of dollars to track down and collect, this crack team pooled together all of their talents to make a positive difference and as we look forward to 2012, each team member will apply their unique talents to make this happen.

How will we do this?

To make working A/R more fun, Anthony will develop an exciting new video game, called "Claims R Us." The winner eludes the scary recoupers and auditors and makes it past the Unapplied Cash demons to reach the land of posted payments.

Dawn will coordinate with Martha Stewart by making sure that everyone has proper recognition on their birthdays and that the department is tastefully decorated for each holiday while keeping an eye towards helping the community. She will win the "Office Homemaker and Good Citizen" award and be featured on the covers of national magazines.

Roger Lunn will fly the company jet to visit the pharmacies in Hawaii on a regular basis, because frankly, someone has to do it.

In an effort to add more glamour to working OCRs, Ruthanne will invite a different celebrity guest each week to assist the OCR team to achieve their goals. Her first guest will be Oprah Winfrey.

Not to be outdone, Sandra and Deb will develop a new fashion line, so we can ALWAYS look great while working agings. It will be all the rage and they will be featured on Project Runway.

Dawna will be in and out of the office as she scouts out new worldwide locations for our company, particularly 3rd Party A/R.  Saint Tropez, Paris, Rio, Tokyo, Stockholm, and London. She is meeting with the Queen next week. We want pictures.

Jess will build bigger and better databases that will automatically enter all data on their own...MIT is very interested in her work. So is NASA.

Abby will get the "Private Eye" award, for solving the many mysteries of all her plans and turning them around. She be known world-wide for her problem solving skills; she will act as consultant to Scotland Yard on the weekends.

Girly will introduce mid-day dance classes to 3rd Party A/R, she will bring in live musicians, and we will all have to dance.

Domonique will burn through all open A/R so quickly, the fire department may have to be called. In preparation for this, they have installed extra fire extinguishers and put on extra staff.

Mike will continue with his best Vincent Price imitations by wishing us all a "Good Evening" at the end of each day. He is currently learning the entire score to "The HMS Pinafore" to keep us motivated when we are down.

Renee will work with her peers to implement ingenious ways for the team to work with the greatest of synergy and be successful in bringing down open A/R. She will write a best-selling business book about her success.


Paula? Well, I will win the lottery but will continue to stay with this world class team. As Harold is promoted to CEO, he will need our utmost support as we continue on our path towards becoming #1 on the Fortune 500 list.

long Weekend

Yes I am looking forward to my 5 day weekend.  Tomorrow is like a Friday for me being at work.  I have scheduled PTO on Thursday, Friday and Monday.  I will be back to work on Tuesday and off again Friday Christmas holidsy.  It is not bad.  Right now I love it not to be at work.

Plan for the coming Months

Now that I know in a couple of months sometimes around March and April I will be jobless. I am looking for some ways I can make extra money while I am home. I already plan to stay home for the summer and start putting my resume on September. By this means even that I am collecting unemployment, I still want to make extra bucks on the side. I might be taking over of baby-sitting my friend’s daughter because my mom will be in the Philippines for the summer.



1. With that I will have at least $125/week.
2. I am looking if I can do ebay again. I did this before; I was doing well until I found a full time job and no enough time.
3. I am also thinking to sew clothes for 18” dolls like American doll and sell them on ebay.
4. I will be also doing blog.

So many plan that flying on my head right now. Hope I won’t fail my family and myself.

End of the Month

It is again billing day, time of the Month wherein we don’t know if we are going home on time or not. We received emails from our supervisor and Manager informing us to be ready to work overtime. Once it is not done wither we like it not no one can go home. They are trying to be fair for those in charge for billing day but not thinking what the rest of us will do like me who will not be there to help them because I never done the billing part yet. If all of us will be there will be also no room for everyone.


Anyway once again we are crossing our fingers hoping that we will be able to go home on time.

Long day at work

Holiday really screwed up everything. It causes less motivation for everyone to work. Everyone is looking forward for the day to get over. This makes day feels like longer as it used to.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Everyone will have Holiday off. A lot of people already scheduled out today and day after which is the Friday. But I will be here on Friday though. I am not one of those who got the luck.

My husband will have a day off. He will be able to bring the girls and my mom to stores and get their Christmas shopping done. Hope they will get a nice one for me. J What a wishful thinking though.

What A Day

Today is not a good day for me, for everyone at work especially on my department.  One of my call pilot box are full, been rerouted to another call pilot box that another RBO who handle this box and this messages been forwarded back to one of my call pilot box.  Gave me head ache most of the day.  Not counting my co-worker who also incharge of doing call pilot are on a day off.

Before lunch time we had an emergency meeting.  We all receive a bad news.  This is all what we need before this holiday?  I wish I am rich that not to worry about this changes.  

I will leave everything to our God Almighty.  I know there are some positive thing are coming on my way. 

1st year at work

wow, time fly so fast. Exactly today I am working in this company for a year. I can't believe it. Seems like I just start working in this place. I learn a lot from this company from different health insurances and so much more. I am building more self confident.

So far so good I did not hear any bad comments. Not to forget I make new more friends. To them they said I am a nice person. hahahaha Am ? Wait till they know who the real me. Anyway I have no comments from this company too except that they are so cheap.

It also been a year that my kids are under the take care of other people beside me. I have been through 2 different people to watch over them. I am so very thankful to this person. I know my kids both love them and they love my kids as their own.

For my 1st year of work. Thank you God for this blessing.

What a Day

Yesterday was oneof those days that everything was not right. Starting in the morning when I turned on my computer my outlook was I guess did not close right last time I used it. So I had to wait 6 minutes and it is the longest 6 minutest in my life that have to wait half hour. I end up ask somebody to do my jobs because everybody were screaming where are the paper works. One I was already logging in and my outlook was working? My callpilot was the one not working wherein I have at least 400 faxes received from our facility. Right after we have our department meeting for an hour so more faxes been added, 3 more people suppose to help me but for some reason their call pilot was not working either. By the time I caught up it was already 1 o’clock in the afternoon. This not acceptable because I was way too behind it means our biller and admission will be behind on their daily quota as well.

The positive side on this is my supervisor knew what was going on. She had no problem about it and she understands. Sometimes situation like this happens.

Hoping that next days of this week will be a better day.

I Am Loaded

Wow tonight is my lucky night. I have 6 tasks, got lucky on one tasks because the payout is $25. But I will not able to post all of them tonight because I have so many things to do around the house. I got home from work already 6:30pm. While I was preparing our dinner I called my friend Jess because it ha been a while now never talked to her. Next thing I know it is 8:00pm. I still got some clothes needs to be folded and need to do my laundry even just a load for tonight if not I will end up a mountain of dirty clothes. I need to go to bed early tonight because it’s been couple night now that been staying up late. I am so very tired. About my job, I have some more things to do that I can handle. Right now I am loaded with projects at work. Ohhh so help Me God.

Trainor Mentor

Today while I was at the middle of doing my job, what a surprise that our Billing Department Regional Director asked me to show how my job goes to our visitor who works in our main company in Tampa, Florida. I guess he have a big rank but not sure what and who cares. He doesn't know and have no idea how my job goes. In my Department I was the only one who is doing it. I am handling 5 different pharmacy, compare to other areas there are more than one person who does what I do. He kinda surprise. It is a thumbs up for me right? This is why if I am not coming to work they get screwed. Lately I am getting this people whom I need to be trained , show them what I do?

Nice Sunny Day

Today was a very gorgeous day. Is this means spring around the corner? I hope so. If you leave in Massachusetts you are not going to wonder why I asked this question. Because living in this States climate changes a lot. If the weather newscaster said it’s going to be a sunny day next day after will be snowing. We can’t wait for springtime.

Today my computer both home and work are not working properly. I think my hard drive for my computer at home is fried. I might need to buy a new hard drive. Uh, another expense I have to add to out budget. About work one of my co employee used her heater that causes blew fuse. We lost power while I was at the middle of sending email, as the power back on. Guess what happen it was not working properly so I called the company help line. Everybody was already nagging on me where are their stuff why I was still not sending them. Without me they got nothing to do, especially the admission crews.

Now hoping that tomorrow will be another gorgeous day. And everything especially my pc will work fine.

Company Change

Our company PHARMERICA had just merged with other company called KINDRED. Because of this merge so much changes that occur. Three managers in different department moved to different company. They supposed fired one of the regional director but until now still there because they needed her services. Without her the company won’t be successful as it now. Yesterday the Vice-president came over to talk some very important issues. Which all of us were shocked. We already expect changes but not what we heard from him yesterday.

He announces that the adjudication department be totally moved to pharmacy department. They want all the insurances be verified at the beginning of the transaction, to avoid pointing on fingers that did the mistakes. So all the people who work on that department will now start looking for a new job while they still have time. Or they can move to a different department. Like in mine department billing and admission we always looking for new employee. The company is trying to bring some of the billing and admission from other area like in Newark, Pennsylvania by which at this point they already start bring over in our department.

I feel bad more with the managers and supervisors, because it is harder for them to find a new job compared to others because most of them are still young. Right now I feel secure of my position but trying to dig in to a different assignment in my department.

BUSY DAY

It’s been couple days now that I have been training this new girl at work. At the same time everybody was asking me to help him or her to do some of his or her work. Honestly I love it if I have a lot thing to do. For me time will go faster. I had pile of my discharges need to done because it is the end of the month and we need to do the billing. I am making it sure that we have the right residents insurances and billing addresses. With all this things need to done plus I have to train somebody, my week really go faster. Next thing I know tomorrow will be Friday and day after is my big day.

Get Injured While At Work?

I used to work in factory it was 6 years ago. I work as a machine operator. It was not an easy job for me. Especially when I was pregnant with my first child. We have to carry heavy stuff. Yes there were guys but sometimes I don’t feel to ask any help. There were at least 10 employees. Mostly were girls and only 3 were guys. One time one of my co-employees hurt her neck. She was carrying a heavy bucket with full of metals, when he pours that bucket with some point she ended up with personal injury, she strain her neck. Good thing that the company covered all the expenses she had in going back and forth to the doctor. She needs to go to chiropractor often. And she was out from work for a while until she was all very well.

If the company did not cover all the doctor visits she was planning to file an Accident Claims and asks legal services for help about her personal injury. Like somebody I know he was injured while he was at work. He filed for accident claim and a year after he did able to receive compensation that he deserves.

If for any reason you got injured while at work and your employer did not do anything about it. You can file a claim like key point claim a legal services are always willing to help you. They are proven with their service. You can register and file claim and speak to one of their specialist’s advisors.

I Am Not A Good Trainer

Am I A Good Trainer?

My department is kind of a short of employee. Almost every month we have new worker. Yesterday we have 1. First thing came up to my mind please don’t bring her to me to be train? I am not good and not comfortable either. But guess what today around 9 my supervisor came to me, telling me that I will train this new girl. Oh not me again. But I did train her for half a day only. More or less I introduce to her what my job is. Show her all the different kind of papers that she will be getting once she will start working. She will be one of the biller. I let her do the actual training means I let her do it by herself not just watch what I am doing. Thanks God. I had a lot of work need to be done; I am little behind on my discharge papers. Overall I did well.

Before we started when I was looking for an extra chair for her to set in, there is this one of our newbie he is weird. He thinks he is better than everybody if he only knew we don’t like him. Since he started working with us at least he had an argument with couple people. And was caught him looking at her personal front asset. We always heard him saying that he is a college grad, so people should treat him well. Hello me too here but did you see me announcing it to everybody of course not. Anyway he was using one of the empty chair I ask him if I can used it but he only answered me that no because he is using it to put his extra junks. But my other coworker told him to give me the chair, which he did. I thought it will be another hey I am a college grad.

Doctor Please Go Away

It was a slow today at work. To think about it, it should be a busy day because yesterday was holiday for some of the facilities. But it was not the case. A lot people are sick, hoping I have a strong immune system. Working in a place with a lot of people a tendency is sharing each others germs. Especially our cubicles are too close to each other. If one is sick, everybody will get sick. I think there is a virus that going around. People are throwing up accompanied with a high fever. Some are coughing that causing to lose their voice. Our workplace right now sounds like we are in a hospital.

I just wish everybody will be get better. Changing weather is not a help either. Massachusetts climates are change all the time. They have joked that if you are not happy with the weather wait for 5 minutes it will change. For couple days now the weather is nice but guesses what tomorrow might go to snow. Oh welcome to New England.

Junk Mail

Early this morning at work, everyone who has email access in our company received an email about 79% discount, which the subject related to our jobs. One of the manager and other employees open their email. They were so surprise of what they saw. We can hear their comments. Right then we knew what that emails are all about. It is about a big huge property of a guy. It is uncommon in our company to get emails like that, maybe to our regular home email we might receive junk emails like you want to have enlarge ***. From these we learn a lesson not open any email especially not related to our company. Even that still we have to be alert. Especially that our job deals with individuals information Person who did this will be in a big trouble. They try to figure out how this person able to get everybody’s emails.

Crazy Day

What a day I had at work. Today was a dragging day. Until my printer need an ink and drove me crazy. I put new cartridge, and try to print. It did not cooperate. I tried and tried, it just spitting blank. I did unplug, turn the power off, to see if that was the problem. But no still not working right. One of my office mate told me to take the cartridge out maybe I did not put it right. Guess what I did, yes I put the cartridge right but silly me I forgot to take the plastic off on the cartridge. Hahahahaha, I can’t believe I did that.

House Chores

Who said my kids are really spoiled. Maybe in some ways, they are but with our love. While they're still young we already training them to be responsible. They have to clean up after they are done playing put away all their toys where it belong. Each of their toys have its own container. They have to fixed their own bed first thing in the morning which sometimes they forgot especially we have to wake them up every 6 in the morning. They vacuum the house at least once a week. At winter time they have to hang their jacket on theit own hanger and put the socks and mittens in a bag where I ask them, and shoes on the shoe rack. Now thanks to my good friend Jess who gave me a very good idea to let them do the dishes. Whom my girls are so excited in doing these chores. I started them to do this this past weekend. I only let them wash the plastic dishes and utensils with no knifes. And keep the rest for me to wash.

All of these sound like too much but you know what when are we going our kids to start doing all of this. I dont want them to be like their american cousins who even don't want to clean their own missed for they have to ask or parents rather pay somebody to do all of these for them.

I want my kids to grow up not lazy. Especially that they are both girls. Whom the girls are the one who make it sure the house is clea and organize.

I Had A Bad Day

What a bad day I have today on our fraud issue plus from work. That charges that I mentioned on my previous post cleared today. First thing this morning I checked our bank account balance online. That’s how I found out, 3 different charges from the same place 2 for $29.99, and 1 for 34.99, and couple are still pending of 29.99 and $34.99 which probably going to clear tomorrow. We called the bank about it. As they promised once it will clear they will put back our money. We will file a claim so that they can start the investigation. My only comment to the bank about this matter is that why they did not stop releasing the money wherein we already report the problem while it is still on pending. Which means they let this theft steal the money first and start the investigation. Not really happy with the bank right now.

About work maybe of whats going on with our bank account. I did couple mistakes at work but not really a big deal. But one of my coworker keep harassing me that I am on her shit lists because I gave a wrong facility number. I know and understand that she was couple days behind on her job but don't put all on my shoulder all her stress. Of course I don't take a damn i talked back on her, which made everybody laughed because I am the only one got the guts to talked back on her. She is nice its just that she is a pain in a butt. hahaha, what a word I used on her.

But anyway with whats going on today I am still thankful that I still have job and we'll get our money back.
