Places I Worked

April 10th of 2000, this was the time I got here in US. When I got here I have no confidence with my English. Even a lot of people were surprise. I guess to them my English, my grammar were very good. That’s why even I graduated college. I was working in a factory. A family friend of my mother-in-law owned a factory. They have variety of people who worked with different nationalities American, Portuguese, Spanish, and Korean. No doubt they hired me.
They were happy with my performance. Working in a factory it helped boost my English grammar. I only able to worked for over 2 years because I had my 1st child.

After 5 years I decided to go back to work again. I need extra money to send my sister to nursing school. But this time I worked in a dunkin donut as sales associate in simple word making and serving coffee, for 9 months. All people I worked were Americans. Honestly I get along with them. They even sad when they found out that I quit. I am not ashamed to share to everyone the places I worked. I have a descent job and making my own money as well.

And this time I am now in a job I could say I can be proud of. It’s not that I was not happy with the other 2 jobs I had. It’s just that this one now is almost online with my degree. I work in a long-term care pharmacy that supplies medication to nursing homes. We have facility all over the states. I work in admission and billing department as a level entry. I make it sure I send all the right documents to biller as well as admission people for them to work on. I make it sure that every patients we have, we have the right information such as the birthday, SSS, responsible party, addresses and most important their insurances.

With my new job so far so good everybody are happy with me. Sometimes I felt important because every time I am out, once I come back on the next day everybody will tell me that thanks God you’re here. Without me they have nothing to do. No one covers for me.
