A Toss for the New Year with some friends



Wow its already 2008. For over 7 years here in US my 1st time to celebrate it not just with my husband but I celebrated it my closest friends and met some new nice people. We went to Jessiette house in Middletown, Rhode Island. At that moment I felt like I was in Philippines. We had a lot of food on the table. Everybody brought their specialties. Where mine I brought "embotido" ( meat pork roll), cassava cake, and macaroni salad. No diet at that point, hahahaha.

We stayed overnight at Jess house. We went to bed around or after 2AM. It doesn't mean we were sleeping. Eyes wee closed but mind were somewhere. My kids went to bed almost the same time as us. And getting up early. We went home after 12 PM. Once we got home changed our clothes and the 4 of us went to bed. Because we were so tired. Party are exciting but tiring at the same time.

Parent Teacher Conference

Today we went to see my daughters kindergarten teacher. Being a first time parent we had no clue, don't know what to expect. For in the Philippines where I went for school never heard about a parent teacher conference. This is a one on one conference between the parent and the teacher.

We went to talked to my daughters teachers about her improvement, how she does in school. I know she is smart but how she really participate on her class? Mrs Siewers the teacher told us that we should be getting a report card somewhere February and before the school ends. As my daughter Leona, not to exaggerate but she excels on everything. Average student must know there their uppercase and lowercase letter and know how to sound out them by the school year end. Which my daughter knew them all at this moment. She even can draw something and write a story about what she did. The only thing is sometimes she missed up with the spelling but it is normal for kids on her age because they are basing the spelling on the sound. So there is no reason she can't go to 1st grade. Among the class she is one of the 3 that ready to move on the next level. She know most of the sight words too. One thing she told us too, Leona I guess doesn't raise her hand or ask question if she have some trouble. Which I understand because at home I want her to do things on her own, which it is not good.

By all means I did a good a good job on teaching her then. We are so proud of her.

1. I have a severe allergy, no allergy medicines can give me any remedy only the Cold and Cough Altka Setzer.

2. At night I can't sleep unless I keep rubbing my feet underneath my husband's legs.

3. I can't make any deposit in any other ladies room except in my own house.

4. At work even how bad I wanna fart I can't do it, unless I am in my car. lol

5. In putting furniture together or building stuff it is not my husband who do it but its me, I love doing it.

6. Having a messy house gives me a headache, that is why even how tired I am I always have to clean my house.

7. I love to collect angels stuff, one reason I name my daughter Angel.

My friend Weng send me thid tag about Zodiac sign. I am a pisces, Am I a dreamer? Maybe yeah, diffinitely I always want something even I already got almost everything. Generous I guess I always willng to help others only if have. Of I'm kind with a limitation, thoughtful yup thats me. About being creative I'm not sure about that maybe imaginative, lol.
